Little Ani: Whoa!As soon as Jaba’s goons cut me lose I ran. I wanted to help DJ but I wasn’t sure what to do to. I was my fault she was taken prisoner, so I had to think of something. The answer came in the form a funky looking ship landing in the middle of the desert.
The thing was boss! It looked just like the- um- tie fighter, I think she called it, that DJ had crashed in. And I thought to myself, this could be her ‘friend’. I looked down. I managed to snag the make shift transmitter I had made for her so if this was her friend- what was his name?- Bucket head, no, Vader, that’s it, he would find me.
I was cool with dat till I seen him. Holy Banta sticks! What the heck? He was huge and tall, all in black, and down right scary as heck. She had not been kidding about the helmet either. I almost dropped the transmitter and ran off.
He had a scanner in his overly huge hand and was making his way to me where I hid behind a rock. At the last second, I took off, scared to death. But he grabbed me by the back of the shirt and lifted me up to face him.
And stared.
His breathing gave me creeps. Kinda sounded like a broken coffee maker.
“Where is the woman?” he demanded. Geeus! Even his voice was creepy!
“What woman?” I asked.
He pulled me close. “Don’t play games with me, little boy. Where is DJ?”
“Oh, THAT woman,” I said. “She got grabbed by a Hutt.”
“Where?”
I pointed back the way I came. “That way.”
“Take me.”
I gawked. “Do I have too? It’s not hard to find- I mean it’s right there- ”
“Take me!” he shouted.
“Okay! Keep your helmet on, buster!” He didn’t set me down. “Can I walk?”
“No. Point.”
“Fine,” I sighed and pointed again. He started walking, carrying me by my shirt. Wasn’t comfortable by no means. “Hey, aren’t you burning up in that costume?” He didn’t answer. “It’s really hot out here and you are in black.”
“Shut up.”
Not the big conversationalist either. “You going to help her or kill her?”
“Both,” he breathed.
“Now why would I help you if you are going to hurt-” I started to say.
He pulled me around and faced me again. “If you don’t, I will hang you by your underwear on a rock and gut you.”
Point made. “Take a left down here.”

Finding The YounglingsObi-Wan nearly ran into the form that emerged from the top of the steps. A few quick movements and he was silenced. "Thank you, Anakin," he said.
It took that for me to really wonder about Obi-Wan. He was more than just a little off his game. "Master, are you sure you can do this? I sense you're not yourself," I whispered.
"I am fine, Anakin. Let's just see where the younglings are hidden. " He reached out with the Force to see if I could sense their signatures. "Down the hall to the left."
I nodded and looked away. We rushed down one of the dimly lit hallways, turned down another. There was funny smell coming form somewhere. I passed a door, stopped, and looked back it. Placing a hand on the door, I reached out. "They are in here."
"I don't like the look of this and the smell is something we might want to be careful with." Obi-Wan warned. "I stand on this side and you on the other side of the door. On three...."
I held my hand up. "Wasn't you that told me to try the lock first?"
“Uh, yes, I did,” he said, giving me that ‘At least you learned something from me’ look.
I narrowed my eyes, then looked away. I jabbed the door lock and the door slid open and the lights flashed on. A little girl with brown eyes blinked at me. "Master Skywalker?" then ran into my arms.
Obi-Wan stepped up behind him finding himself hugged by the other two, a girl and a boy. "It's alright, you are safe now." Large eyes looked up at him still doubtful but with hope.
I brushed the matted hair from the little girls face. "I have something very important for you." I handed her my cloned beacon. "Take this, and keep it with you. We are going to lead you to swears, from there you run, and keep running until you reach the shoot going up. Stay there and wait for us. Can you do that?" She nodded.
Obi-Wan went down on one knee in front of the others. " Trust in yourselves and the Force. Follow her and stay together at any time. Find a place to hide until you see us coming." He touched their small shoulders quickly. "May the Force be with you."
I sat the girl down. She clutched the beacon and my hand. "Let's get them back to stairs and fast."
We got them back to the stairs to the sewers without any inference, which surprised me. Theses younglings weren’t important to Marusi and Octavia, nothing more than a sidetrack for us, a distraction from what was really going on.
I knelt before the girl. "You ready?" She nodded. I smiled at her. "Go." They ran. I watched them disappear before I stood up. "They should be alright."
"I hope so." Obi-wan looked back the way we had came. "Are you ready?"
I stared at him. "I'm always ready. Question is are you?"
"I told you, yes. What makes you think otherwise?"
"Do you have to ask why?"
"Anakin, let's let it go for now, please." he said. "We can talk after all this is over."
He never let me in, never share his feeling with me. Almost if he wasn’t aloud to have any. Annoyed, I waved my hand and turned to walk off. "Fine. Come on then."
